Lights, camera, action! In Verdun!
They're shooting a movie on our street right now. Really, the only sort of film that I think Wellington Street would be suitable for would be something set in the '60s. I hear that Halle Berry, Robert Downey Jr. and Donald Sutherland are all in town right now shooting something. Maybe this is it. I sort of doubt it, though. If that crew were in town, the last place they'd be spending their Saturday night would be on Wellington Street, in Verdun.
Give us a few years, though. Repeal the no-bars bylaw and we'll be competing with the Main, I'm sure of it. :/
I'm sending out a long, pretty personal email to my mom for Mother's Day tomorrow. It's what I did last year, and it seems as though she liked it probably more than any other Mother's Day gift she's received. So, I don't feel too bad about not buying her anything. I'm wondering, should I tell her about my Scarleteen affiliation? Even if I don't mention the site by name? She's really, really stupid when it comes to computers, so I doubt that she could ever track me down if I just said 'sex ed web site'. What do you Scarleteeners think?
