Got no money, got no car...

Even when I win, I lose. I got no money. Even with my parents birthday gift, I've barely enough to pay off my debts. Maybe rottenfruit will allow my debt to her to go unpaid for sometime so that I can have a bit of fun...? Maybe I should start making my journal more interesting, and use it as a platform to beg.

Part of me really, really wants a PS2. I know, I should be past that or something, but I'm really not. I've been looking on ebay, and I think I could afford one, just barely, off of there. Although I'm just barely going to be able to pay off my debts, I'll start actually making money (as in, slightly more than it costs me to live) next week. So, even if I don't buy one right away, it might be in the offing.

Nancy wants to have a party at work this week, because I'll finish the Link's database sometime, probably on Thursday. She said, 'we'll get cake, and we've already got that Hungarian champagne'. Of course we have. That's nuts. She has parties for everything. I guess that's why the morale at work is so damn good.

Speaking of alcohol, I found a fantastic deal on wine the other day at the SAQ. It was a Spanish red wine called Castillo de Monseran. It was very drinkable, and it's regularly $8.75 a bottle. Nice.

What a bizarre moment I just witnessed on TV. It was on the Blue Jays/Yankees game. For the 7th inning stretch, all teams were told to play 'God Bless America' on opening day. So the Jays did, despite being a Canadian team. And it was sung by Celine Dion. And everyone cheered it. Jeez. Why the hell wouldn't the Jays have friggin' stood up to MLB and told them to shove their friggin' 'God Bless America'. Are we sovereign anymore?
