I just saw a guy biking down Wellington Street (not by any means a side-street!) in the left-hand lane with one hand on the handlebars and the other holding a cellphone to his face.

Yeah, those crazy cell phone cyclists. I'll admit to answering my phone while riding, but I pull over to talk.

Worse to me, are those cyclists that smoke while biking. Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

I don't think it necessarily does - some people use bicycles for transportation more than exercise...

It just seems so useless, somehow. Not sure why. I guess I should feel weird seeing people smoke and walk too, by that logic.

I saw the bike and cell phone thing a few weeks ago... made even more interesting by the fact that guy was between two city buses. Like he could have heard a damn thing anyway...
