For the current week, the feature over at Radio 3 is 101 sessions and live concerts. By people like Destroyer/Dan Bejar, Rufus Wainwright, The Super Friendz, Joel Plaskett, The Weakerthans and lots and lots of others. Good stuff.

People must've thought Elizabeth and I were either big wusses or Americans as we walked down Wellington Street today. It was above freezing, but we were still all bundled up in coats, scarves, hats and mitts. I'm STILL SICK, okay?
If this keeps up much longer, I'm gonna have to go to a clinic. Get some antibiotics or something. It's basically in a dry-throat-stage right now. I'm coughing and I have a gravelly voice, but that's all right now. Still, it's annoying as hell.

This weekend I:
(a) Went and watched my men's basketball Stingers pick up a win over Laval - a win that oughta put them in the top 3 nationally. I used to think that Concordia's gym was something of an embarrassment, but now I'm thinking that it's a positive that we play in such a small space. It's intimidating, I think, to have the fans right on top of the opposing players. There were guys in costumes with cowbells and drums reaching out of the front row, almost right into the Laval bench trying to rile them.
It's probably all moot, anyway, since Carleton's bound to win the nat's. Again;
(b) Had Won Ton soup for the first time in, I don't know, like 10 years or something. When I was a kid, and my folks would order in Chinese food, I would only get Won Ton soup. I was never big on Chinese. But this was nice. It was a childhood comfort;
(c) Went to a sex shop for the first time in, oh, a year or so. We wanted to look for something we thought would be a slam dunk, but it wasn't to be found. I won't say what it was we were seeking, but I'll say that it's something that's probably better off rigged up at home, anyway. Much, much cheaper, too. And...;
(d) Tried to die my hair purple, but it didn't really work. It's just a different shade of brown, now. But, at least I have a purple scalp...
