I just heard something on the news about how
there's legislation on the march in Oklahoma which would make cockfighting legal again by having the roosters wear little boxing gloves.

Last night in the National Post the beginning of their editorial on religious freedom read something like "While the courts were yanking the rest of country towards the legalization of same-sex marriage...".
Do they have access to, like, public opinion polls at the Post? Get your heads out of your asses, ladies and gentlemen. Most of the country - while perhaps not seeing this as a top priority - is in favour of same-sex marriage.

Apparently on The Fifth Estate the other night, they ran an overview of the media wars in the U.S. My co-worker Kiki tells me that Ann Coulter was interviewed and asked why, if Canada had sent troops to Vietnam, why they wouldn't send troops to Iraq. The (Canadian) reporter interjected and told her that Canada, in fact, wasn't part of the Vietnam War. She wouldn't believe him, though, and said she'd have to check the facts on it and get back to him. God. What an idiot. The fact that Fox News frequently gives this woman a platform should alone be enough to send its credibility into the toilet. If someone fucked up the facts as often as she did, there's just no way that person'd keep getting invited onto BBC World, say.
It's fine to have people present opinions on all-news stations, but when people claim facts, they need to be called on it, and I never hear about the right-wingers on Fox getting called for all of the basic facts they get wrong about Canada. Or probably anything else.

I think I'm getting sick again, goddammit. My throat is getting sore again, and I've been really tired the past few nights...
I have more to say, but I want to put some of it's to be friends-only or filtered, so I'll come back with it after work or something.
