I still can't believe you were nervous over this stunning piece potentially not getting requests for writing. XD Really, it could have taken a cat fight or at least a coin toss, but luckily only begging was involved. ;)

The OC's are fun to play with, but you have to pity them when the Wrath of Ed descends upon them. ^^

I was, especially after stating I don't want a relationship between Ed and Lin. Fandom seems to be in favor of slash, and not exactly eager to write adventure stories^^; I don't want to force anything on anyone, having different tastes and everything. What you say about choosing is very flattering, thank you^^

Fandom seems to be in favor of slash

I've noticed that, particularly since the series is finished. It seems like 90% of the het/gen writers have vanished entirely.

Very disappointing.

It's especially noticable in this year's Big Bang, most stories are slash ones, there are very few het or gen ones. It's not my kind of thing, so it's a little sad. I'm happy fandom is alive at all, so we can have challenges like this but eh, I miss the old times^^;

Considering the last Fire and Ice challenge I ran only had like seven participants, and that was in 2011, it's sad.
