Crazy busy!
So, I'm definitely managing to keep busy this summer! It looks like I'll probably end up working a few 7-day weeks, too...that's not so fun...sigh.
I went to visit Andrew in Chicago a couple weekends ago, because he witnessed a drive-by shooting, and he needed a LOT of cheering up. My parents were sort of anxious about me driving to Chi-town all by myself, but I stated my case well, and they let me go. The drive actually wasn't as bad as I had expected, and Andrew was really glad that I could come, even though I only got to stay for one night.
Joyce and I are going back to Chicago this weekend, so she can visit one of her Earlham friends, and I can see Andrew again. Yay for that!
Other than that, I've been working a lot the past few days...things are going pretty well at both jobs, although I think all of this power is going to my head. I'm getting really good at yelling at people.
I made an important discovery on Friday: my mom does not handle margaritas very well. I went to dinner with the parents and Joyce, and some friends of my parents at a Mexican restaurant on Friday, and three of them split a pitcher of margaritas. After about one and a half, mom was pretty happy, and ended the evening by standing up and asking "Where's the bathroom? I think I'm gonna throw up!" Apparently she didn't actually throw up, but she did get attacked by the bathroom door on her way out...it was pretty entertaining to see my mom rather drunk.
Anyway...not much has been going on outside of work, work and more work...it's just good to actually be making money this summer.
