OH MY GOD. Why didn't anyone tell me that the Yakitate! Japan mangaka was doing a shounen manga about doctors!?? It was like...the only thing missing in my life! Shounen doctor series!! I know there's other doctor manga, but they're not really my cup of tea; shounen is usually my favorite because it has the most positive and inspiring feel. And of course this is the guy who created a manga about baking bread, so of course he can make any subject awesome!
Saijou no Meii (onemanga link) ladylore especially READ IT. Or actually, download it from snoopycool so they know people are reading it. Though there's only one chapter scanlated right now ;o; It already managed to fit in transpositions of the great arteries and cardiac tamponade and I didn't pitch a fit at the presentation, and I really love the more positive, shounen spirit as compared to other doctor manga (not that it's a gag manga or anything--it's definitely not as crazy as Yakitate, though it did have me smiling). And I had no idea there was a shortage of pediatric surgeons in Japan! ;o; (I also love the focus on pediatrics, since it's definitely one of the areas I'm more interested in).
Anyway, speaking of medicine, I better go study. ;_; I've been sick for awhile now (antibiotics slowly working) so I'm more behind on work than I'd like, though it could be worse.
