so i bought myself a new toy...
...and hopefully it means i will be more diligent about doing things with it than just amking excuses all the time.
so far so good - i'm typing this out as we speak on said new toy and loving the soft click-clack of the keys.
soon enough, i will be installing photo software and hopefully in the near future - video software.
working through the backlog of pics and stuff i have should (with some luck) be less of a chore now. which is an added benefit of finally upgrading computer systems from my uni days.
