...can sometimes bring about new memories.
it's funny how the people you're with can sometimes change the way you look at things. through nothing more than being with different people at different times doing different things, the same place can take on new meanings and evoke different feelings for you.
a lot of memories are ebbing their way back into my mind now that i'm back in japan. even though i'm visiting a few of the same places as i did before, everything seems lost again, ready to be found. i suppose it doesn't help that i can't remember where most of the things are, but sometimes i will see something familiar, and yet, unfamiliar. i didn't remember kippu ramen in shibuya being ever that good, or fast.
new experiences too are now invading my mind. like watching a few gigs of amateur to semi-pro bands go at it in a music exchange in some dingy bar located in the love hotel district of shibuya. something i wouldn't have thought of doing a few years back, suddenly feels like the perfect way to enjoy "young" japan.
