Radio Golf

So I just got home. I'm pretty sure I mentioned a while ago that for Q's birthday I was getting us tickets to a play. I decided on Radio Golf. Largely because (as you can tell if you click the link) it's ending/ended. The sunday night showing will be the last. I figure The Color Purple will be running for a long time.

RG was soooooo great. Buy it! I didn't even know that Wendell Pierce produced it until we got there. And "ironically" James A. Williams (who plays Roosevelt Hicks) looks similar to Wendell and sounds just like him.

I think the last August play I read was Fences, so it was nice to see a timely play by him. Of course it was still funny and poignant. I wish I could’ve taken pictures, but it wasn't allowed. When I took a pic of the damn curtain during intermission, one of the ushers "reminded" me that recording was prohibited. I am taking a picture of a freaking curtain!! There are no actors on the stage!

Best part for me was when the play had moments of conceptualizing nigga/nigger and the white folks in the audience looked stonefaced. lol Good move on their part though!

I'll post pics later. It's nothing but that damned curtain, the playbill, Q and me, but yeah...

I'm sure there is at least one woman on this planet that is able to go out, wear cute shoes and come home withOUT her feet killing her. I will make it my life's mission to find this woman, befriend her and learn her secrets.
