So apparently I managed to do 20 drabble things out of the 30 days of November.
NOT BAD IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF.
So now it's back to the grindstone. Porn!thursday challenge things and other bits, right? OhgodwhydoIdothistomyself. I promise I'll ease myself back into TF fandom as soon as Marvel stops being so awesome and I manage to get rid of the Deadpools and Dominos and ... Carmen Sandiegos that have managed to eat into my brain.
In the meanwhile, uh, have some fic recs?
The Thing with Feathers // Fake News RPF (The Daily Show/The Colbert Report)
I don't approve of RPS or RPF in general, but I make an exception for this fic because it is just. That. Damn. Good. Also, it manages to separate the RL actors on the Fake News from the characters they play, which deserves applause all on its own. If you need a little more convincing without reading the fic itself, watch the trailer.
Illusion // Marvel (X-men)
This is purely wonderful dark horrorish fic that swims around Northstar and works really well. You don't really need to squint for slash, per se, but it's also quite easily gen. The plot builds and you have an idea of what might happen, but it's still a very satisfying bit of writing.
In The Box // Firefly (Pre-Serenity)
The crew is trapped in boxes. They are in pairs. It seems like an odd premise for a fic, but it's horribly funny, in character, and touching in all the right places. Go read it now you silly, sily people.
Corpus Incendio // Harry Potter
I don't bookmark nearly enough good HPfic because I read it so rarely nowadays and I didn't start the habit of recording the good stuff until just a little while ago. It's a pity... still, let's not let that get in the way of something that's Hermione and that's just a touch creepy while still being IC and that really makes it just a bit creepier.
Stupid // DC (Young Justice)
It's YJ Impulse and he's so IC that it hurts because he's innocent and somewhat naive but he knows what's going on in the world around him, he's just not quite sure how to get people to take him seriously. Go read it and mourn the fact that Bart Allen is currently dead.
And Bonus Because No One Knows This Fandom: Where There's A Will // Harry Potter x Black Books
Um. If you know what Black Books was, you'll know that this fic will be amazingly good simply because Bernard is IC. Outside of that, all I can really tell you is that Bernard Black is one of the most amazing characters in the history of man and that you really should go hunt down the series on Youtube. Go now.
