[Ficbits] More of a previous thing
More babble!fic in the Bobby and JP vein. Because you guys are a bad, bad influence, and JP decided that Bobby'd had a turn, so he'd better have one.
When he woke up, he was warm and drowsy and his head was pillowed on someone's chest. Without thinking much about it, he hummed softly and snuggled closer. He was sleepy and comfortable and whoever it was had his arms wrapped around Jean-Paul's shoulders and the steady beat of a heartbeat was lulling Jean-Paul back into slumber. He smelled nice too, like fabric softener and sunshine. It reminded him of Bobby before he'd- wait.
Jean-Paul tilted his head up and his eyes widened when he realized that the man he'd been sleeping with didn't just smell like Bobby. He was Bobby Drake.
Merde.
Jean-Paul started to get up, but that effort was thwarted almost immediately as Bobby murmured unhappily in sleep. The other man's arms tightened, pulling Jean-Paul into a tighter embrace. A litany of curses flowed through the man's mind as he tried to figure out his next plan of action. Jean-Paul was struck with the horrible irony of it all. He'd been waiting and wishing for ages to be in this situation, yet the moment he found himself here, he was trying his hardest to get out of it.
A little sigh escaped his lips as Jean-Paul decided to wait and see if Bobby would let go of him if given enough time. And... maybe he could pretend for a just a few moments that he was here because he was wanted, not because he and Bobby had fallen asleep on each other. He closed his eyes and let his breathing slow.
He'd deal with the consequences later.
I just noticed that I have a very bad habit of overusing ellipses. I'll have to learn to watch it.
