I promised these a while ago, my apologies for the delay!

suyariBilly, Tommy and hints of twinness
Tommy padded into the living room of the Kaplans' home and flopped onto the sofa beside Billy who was lethargically flipping through the channels.
"Couldn't sleep either, huh?"
"Nope."
"Anything good on?"
Billy paused for a moment and the television screen flickered, broadcasting the smiling face of an infomercial model.
"Nope."
Tommy ran a hand through his hair, carelessly letting it fall whichever way it pleased.
"Thanks for lettin' me crash at your place, by the way. Can't 'xactly go home right now, ya know."
"Sure. No prob."
The television screen blinked once more.
A long silence stretched out between the two boys.
"D'you-" "You know-"
The two halted in surprise, then Tommy ventured a "You go first."
Billy paused.
"It's so weird thinking that he's gone. The Young Avengers, we didn't really have a lot of time with him, but he was an amazing man. We all lost something when he- you know."
Tommy nodded slowly, already knowing who the 'he' Billy talked about was. "I didn't have as much time with the Big Guy 'cause I sorta got into the team late, but Cap was a huge symbol in everyone's lives. Still is actually, now that I think about it. The American Dream come to life an' all that stuff. Him dying, it's like, I dunno... like when you figure out that Santa isn't real. There's this part of you that just withers away, like some piece of your soul just died."
"He was such a huge part of the Avengers." Billy smiled as he thought back to his favorite team of super-heroes. "Every time they got into trouble, Cap was at the front of the action kicking butt and taking names. I dressed up like him for Halloween once. I think Mom still has some of the pictures in a photo album somewhere..." The brunette paused and as an afterthought, he added, "I hope she doesn't show those pictures to Teddy."
Tommy laughed, but his chuckles soon changed, becoming harsh and cynical.
"God, it's ironic, ya know? Captain America, the Nazi-killer, the hero of America, he fought for freedom an' liberty an' shit all his life, but when the time came, he died cold an' betrayed an' alone. I mean, shit, he was executed right after he'd been arrested for treason! Treason! Those shit-heads in the government arrested the guy who lived and breathed for this country for betrayal and the TV and newspapers just lapped it up!"
Tommy's hysteria cut short suddenly and when his rant ended he slumped like a puppet with its strings cut. He had never looked so young. The boy cradled his head in his hands and his bangs fell limply to cover his eyes. He mumbled, "It makes ya wonder what this whole thing's about. What're we fighting for, an' is it worth all the goddamn trouble?"
Billy nodded in agreement. The TV remote slipped from listless fingers to thump softly on the carpet.
"Yeah."
They sat in silence again.
When Mr. Kaplan got up for work the next morning, Billy was curled up into a ball on one side of the couch and Tommy was sprawled across the other. The two breathed softly in a strange sort of unison as the television babbled softly in the background.
"Today marks two weeks since the passing of one of America's greatest superheroes..."

train_diskenseSomething with Billy. And Teddy. And Ice cream.
Teddy and Billy walked through Central Park murmuring quietly to each other.
"It's been such a long time since we did this."
"What, just walked around in the park? I guess so. We were on the lam for a while, huh?"
Billy ran a hand through his hair, a nervous habit that Teddy had always thought was endearing.
"I'm glad that it's over now."
"You know what else I'm glad about?" Teddy grinned widely. He inclined his head playfully and his ear-studs glittered in the light.
Billy smirked back in return. Teddy's grins were infectious. "No, what?"
"The fact that I see an ice cream truck coming up the street over there."
Billy snapped his head in the direction that Teddy pointed, searching. "Really?" A sly smile stole across the young wizard's face as he spotted the white van coming up the road. "Race ya!"
"You're on!"
The two boys ran towards the musical car, laughing loudly. Billy had a head start, but Teddy soon sped ahead, due to surreptitious use of his abilities to lengthen his stride. He skidded to a stop in front of the recently-parked truck moments before Billy did and waved at the driver.
When a panting Billy caught up moments later, he yelped, "Hey! Why'd you order for me?!"
"Who said either of these was for you?" Teddy smirked slyly as he accepted two cones of ice-cream, one vanilla and one mint chocolate chip.
Billy summoned up an exaggerated fake pout as he swooned dramatically. "Not only does he not love me anymore, but he's going to kill himself with brain-freeze too! Woe!"
Laughing, Teddy transferred both cones to one hand, using his free one to poke his crazy boyfriend in the ribs.
"I was joking, you nut! And anyway, you always get mint-chocolate. It's your regular!"
Billy playfully snatched the pale green ice-cream cone from Teddy's hand. "And you always get vanilla which, by the way, is really, really bland."
Teddy sniffed theatrically. "Vanilla is a staple of all ice creams. It's one of the ultimate flavours! And you eat mint chocolate-chip!" The blond stuck out his tongue. "I mean, I like chocolate and I like mint, but chocolate in your mint? That's just gross!"
Billy leered. "What can I say, I like putting green things in my mouth."
Teddy choked on his ice cream.
