I just broke my fucking leg.
I was on the phone with otherhazards, and my mother asked me to bring something down to the garage for her. I made it down about two steps before I missed and my heel slipped off the stair. I landed on my foot and slid down another three or four stairs, completely dislocating my ankle and breaking the inside bone in my leg, just above the ankle, clean through. A part of the bone chipped off, and the doctor said that I "snapped my foot off" of my leg.
So, I'm on pain killers, and I've got a temporary cast now. I've got to go in a few days to get screws put in the bone, and then I'll get a regular cast. I'm honestly impressed with the sheer brutality of this injury, plus I'm a little bit in shock. My foot was twisted out and bent backwards. It was disgusting, and I didn't even get to see the xrays because I couldn't get up out of the hospital bed.
I'm a little disjointed because I'm still drugged up from the IV they gave me. At least I'm not in pain right now.
