Flonne hadn't been sleeping well. She hadn't slept in a room alone since she'd returned from 'the dead' many, many months ago. Laharl had been a constant and comforting presence in the room, every night she closed her eyes. She'd just... gotten used to it. Flonne had been happy that Laharl had seemed to have forgotten it was only meant to be a temporary arrangement. (Or perhaps ignoring that fact.) He still didn't even like her going into her old room.

This new, temporary, bedroom, however, felt empty. The first night she found herself tossing most of the night, barely sleeping a wink. The second, much the same, though she dozed in and out. The third day, she was exhausted and had finally managed to doze off early in the evening, only to have a terror filled nightmare jerk her awake again, sweating and shaking.

Sobbing in her room for several minutes, she finally pulled a blanket haphazardly around her shoulders and slipped from the apartment. Her bare feet were almost silent, as she padded along the cold floors. She knew what she'd seen was only a dream, but she just had to see him. She needed to see he was okay. She needed... him.

It had only been a few days, but she already missed him terribly. Her anger at him had long since dissipated and as much as she'd hoped maybe, just maybe, he might miss her or... something, she was ready to just give up. Even if he never felt anything back for her, it just didn't matter. Etna would probably be disappointed in her, but one day she'd understand.

Reaching the stairs, Flonne really wasn't paying attention as she made her way down them, trying to get to her goal as quick and silently as she could.

flonne, laharl
