Rinali found her way to the rooftop during the later afternoon hours, needing some fresh air from her talks with Lady and Miranda over things as well as a vacation from her mindset.

Nero confessed he loved her but- she wasn't exactly sure how to feel other than guilty for once loving him then never remembering him but for flickers in dreams. It was maddening to know that she could of cared for someone then poof, it was gone. But it seemed like this place did that to people.

Then there was Allen...He onced cared for her? That in itself was almost...surreal. Too good to be true, type thing for her... It was all too confusing. That's why she escaped to the rooftops.

Unknowing that anyone else was around, Rinali headed over towards one of the edges of the rooftops, taking a seat and dangling her legs over the side of the building, staring out at the skyline, humming quietly to herself.

He could hear those footsteps as soon as they started on the bottom of the last flight of stairs, but he remained motionless, just looking out over the panorama of what he could see. There was nothing much to see - dilapidated buildings, things that were either half-built or half-destroyed, a few roads slithering in and out of places ( ... )

She continued to sit there, swinging her legs idly while humming a quiet but almost sad song. Her eyes continued to stare out over the buildings and rooftops, wondering just what the city used to look like before everything seemed to go downhill and go to Hell.

Running a hand up through her hair, she breathed deeply through her nostrils, fingertips lacing the short tressles of black hair that seemed to glow voilet in highlights. Last she was here was when her hair wasn't burnt off...how long ago that seemed.

Bringing her hand back down to her lap, she straightened up. Her brother always said she had a keen sixth sense. "You breath too heavily sometimes. You need to let air out through your mouth and not just your nose...-" She commented idly before glancing over her shoulder, staring at the blue haired man with almost saddened eyes. "-...Grimmjow."

Breathe too heavily? That he wouldn't know - he did not monitor his own breathing because he never really needed to. He looked over to her and he held Rinali's gaze, if only for a few seconds, before he looked away and back over the scene.

He didn't like the look in her eyes, but it wasn't his place to say or do anything about it. He might have liked to think that he knew everything and he was always right, but he had woken up here naked in another world with only Pantera that was familiar to him, and in this foreign land he knew and controlled nothing.

That and, well. Rinali was Rinali, like any other autonomous individual. He enjoyed his own freedom and being able to make decisions and come to conclusions on his own, and he wasn't about to barge into her personal life and tell her what to do.

He breathed in through his nose and breathed out through his mouth. It was noisier and he didn't like it, but, with anything else, he just needed time to get used to it.

Her gaze met his and once she saw that he actually took her advice, she gave a ghost of a smile and nodded to him, turning to look back over the tragic scenary.

"I can leave, if you'd like the roof to yourself." She finally spoke out. She remembered at least that she spent a lot of time up here when she was here before, but even now it seemed like a fleeting memory in a dream had long ago.

"Or you could join me." She also suggested, looking down at the spot next to her then back out. "Whichever you'd be more comfortable doing." She decided to leave it up to him. No more telling him what not to eat and what not to do...he was a big boy and no doubt could take care of himself. She was just so used to mothering the Science Department and her brother, her ways must of carried with her to this world...and boy people were probably annoyed at that.

Whoops. Forgot to hit 'reply to this' XD NEVERMIND. carnal_sexta October 4 2008, 12:40:28 UTC
"It's big enough for the two of us," he said. His voice was softer - almost gentler. It at least was not the usual ruffian-sounding tone his tended to slip into and use.

He looked back at her, then the space next to her, and then out at the panorama again. If she had been someone he did not know, it was perfectly normal for them to keep this distance and keep quiet to themselves, but she was someone he knew, and the chances of that happening were slim.

In fact, she was one of the few people who had been at least decent to him. He had been attacked, patronised, made fun of, bitched at and threatened by almost everyone else he had met.

So, even though he did not say anything, he walked over to her quietly and sat down next to her. Perhaps he did not know what to say, but it was equally possible that he did not want to say anything. The last thing he wanted was for her to burst into tears and scream and rant at him.

No screaming, no ranting, nothing came from her lips as her amethyst eyes stare blindly out at the scenery.

She didn't want to ask him what was the matter, either. He seemed perfectly content being there in silence and solitude but the fact that he came to sit by her made her smile just a smidge.

As if by nature for someone she grew close to in such a short time, helping him and what not since he seemed so new to anything in the world, Rinali scooted just a smidge closer and leaned her head gently on his shoulder, carefully as to not startle him.

He was warm and firm, none too soft but that must of been from his expert combat abilities shaping him into what he was. He was a soldier too, wasn't he?
