The redhead lifted his arms into the air and stretched. God, it felt good. Being in his nearly empty room, he felt alone.

'Maybe I should go out for some fresh air.' he thought.

Leaving his room and his apartment, he proceeded up the old stairs as it creeked. After seeing the metal door, he grasped the handle and pushed the door opened and took a few steps onto the roof.

He took a few breaths in. The air wasn't as bad as he thought it was. Looking around, he noticed a female on the roof of the other building. Steping closer to the edge towards the building, he noticed that it was Rinali.

Continuing to watch her, he noticed that she was deep in thought; her face showing confusion with a hint of despairity. Taking a seat on the ledge, he continued to watch her.

'Didn't I tell you not to push yourself?'

Wandering around the roof tops, Rinali hardly noticed the other eye watchin her from the other roof top. Staring up at the stars she visably slumped, her head no longer staring up, but down at the ground, shuffling her feet before kneeling down, idly running her hand along the rings on her ankles. They were beautiful but...they were also made of her blood. A new type of Innocence that had been named 'Crystal Type'. Komui had wared hers and the others that using them may limit her life...that in itself was a bit of a scare to not want to use them.

Finally glancing over to the roof tops beside her, she saw someone sitting there and blinked. She couldn't really make out who it was, but she gave a soft wave none the less. An attempt at a friendly sign.

Seeing the girl slump over suddenly, Lavi suddenly started worrying. But noticing that she didn't fall over, he quickly became a little more relieved. Following the direction of the line from her hands to her ankle, Lavi noticed she was touching the rings.

Meeting her since she had gotten back, he had noticed them before but didn't want to ask about them, considering her mental state at the time. Confusing was, and still on her face. He wasn't going to push it.

Suddenly, he realized that she was waving at him. Lavi wasn't the type not to wave back, unless there was a certain circumstance. There was no circumstance here. He kindly waved back to his companion.

A faint smile played on the girls lips as the stranger waved back to her. A little nervous that someone was just there, she made her way over to the edge of the roof facing off towards the west and takes a seat down on it, staring off on the horizon to the stars that touched the skyline.

After a few moments she looked back at the person on the roof, seeing them still there. Figuring it best to be nice, she waved her hand for him to come over. Even people from the other apartments could come over to one another's right? It was worth a shot at any rate.

'Guess she doesn't know it is me.'

He continued to stare at her for a little longer. It was only a few moments later Rinali had motioned for him to join her. Well, he wasn't going to reject the pretty young lady.

Standing up, he took a few steps back, ran, and leaped over to the other building. Thank goodness he had long legs.

Walking closer and closer to Rinali, he wondered if she realized it was him yet.

"Yo."

She watched the person leap across the rooftops, slightly impressed before squeaking when she saw who it was. Her tall raather attractive red headed friend. "L-Lavi!" Something in her was rather glad that it was him and that he was here.

Standing up, she goes over to greet him, a small smile playing on her lips with a look of relief washing over her face. "Forgive me, I didn't..relize it was you."

Smiling back at her, he simply waved his hand.

"It's alright. You seemed to have a lot on your mind."

Looking around, he figured there was going to be another person here with her besides him. He then remembered the times Rinali would come to the roof to be alone. This was just another one of those tiems.

"Just a little..but it's nice to have close friends to spend time with." She said with a faint smile, peeking up at him.

Looking away she strolled idly away from him, reaching out with her hand to him. "So..how have you been, Lavi? You seem to always be in such good spirits when I see you." she commented. It really was refreshing.

Lavi took her hand reaching out and followed her, allowing her to drag him along.

"I've been as fine as the last time we met. There is not need to be down all the time. It drags the mood down and just worries everyone around you."

There were times when he has felt miserable but he wasn't going to put anything upon Rinali. She had a lot going on for her at the moment.

Swinging her arm with his hand in hers, she smiled lightly. He always seemed to be able to brighten her mood. It was even more so making her happy remembering everything that had happened on the ark. "You're right. I'll try not to be down so much. But thankfully I'm not as down as I almost assumed I would be." she confessed.

Walking a few steps along the rooftop, she stopped and took a seat down, releasing his hand gently. "I wish I had your optimism."

Feeling her hand held into his felt warm. Feeling her swing their arms made him carefree. If only she could be like this more and not having to worry about others instead of herself.

"I wish I had your optimism." she heard him say.

This only made him remember the times when he wasn't always this way; the times when he was callous and reserved, not wanting to have any connection and attachment with anyone. But times and changed and he started to open up. Actually, it was around the same time Rinali had started to break the barrier.

"Even the most pessimistic have their moments of optimism. It is rarely too late."

"You're right. But it's still so nice to just...see you so happy." She said. It was true though...Lavi had done so much to help her back in their world, especially back during the battle with the 4th. He followed her and protected her the best he could..and with what? A pole...

Smiling gently at that mental reminder she folded her hands neatly on her lap, crossing her ankles where the faint clattering of her anklet rings rang out. "It's peaceful up here."

Lavi sat down beside her and looked out at the scenery before him as the sky was splattered with stars.

"It's as peaceful as it is going to get." he laughed, considering the construction taking place near by. It has quieted down at least.

"I suppose taking pleasure in the smallest of things is good, right?" She smiled, peeking back up at him as he stares out at the horizon.

Turning her attention back to the stars in the sky, she relaxed a little more, the company offering more than enough comfort.

Lavi simply nods at her question. "Sometimes we just need to slow down, breathe, and admire the things we have around us, no matter how grim the situation is."

Looks around while he speaks. Some people wouldn't be so grateful towards the little things. A lot of people seem to rather get out of here or destroy the city in order to get home. She was just...happy that people from her world were safe and here. "Mm."
