I wish for this nighttime to last for a life time. )
'Maybe I should go out for some fresh air.' he thought.
Leaving his room and his apartment, he proceeded up the old stairs as it creeked. After seeing the metal door, he grasped the handle and pushed the door opened and took a few steps onto the roof.
He took a few breaths in. The air wasn't as bad as he thought it was. Looking around, he noticed a female on the roof of the other building. Steping closer to the edge towards the building, he noticed that it was Rinali.
Continuing to watch her, he noticed that she was deep in thought; her face showing confusion with a hint of despairity. Taking a seat on the ledge, he continued to watch her.
'Didn't I tell you not to push yourself?'

Finally glancing over to the roof tops beside her, she saw someone sitting there and blinked. She couldn't really make out who it was, but she gave a soft wave none the less. An attempt at a friendly sign.

Meeting her since she had gotten back, he had noticed them before but didn't want to ask about them, considering her mental state at the time. Confusing was, and still on her face. He wasn't going to push it.
Suddenly, he realized that she was waving at him. Lavi wasn't the type not to wave back, unless there was a certain circumstance. There was no circumstance here. He kindly waved back to his companion.

After a few moments she looked back at the person on the roof, seeing them still there. Figuring it best to be nice, she waved her hand for him to come over. Even people from the other apartments could come over to one another's right? It was worth a shot at any rate.

He continued to stare at her for a little longer. It was only a few moments later Rinali had motioned for him to join her. Well, he wasn't going to reject the pretty young lady.
Standing up, he took a few steps back, ran, and leaped over to the other building. Thank goodness he had long legs.
Walking closer and closer to Rinali, he wondered if she realized it was him yet.
"Yo."

Standing up, she goes over to greet him, a small smile playing on her lips with a look of relief washing over her face. "Forgive me, I didn't..relize it was you."

"It's alright. You seemed to have a lot on your mind."
Looking around, he figured there was going to be another person here with her besides him. He then remembered the times Rinali would come to the roof to be alone. This was just another one of those tiems.

Looking away she strolled idly away from him, reaching out with her hand to him. "So..how have you been, Lavi? You seem to always be in such good spirits when I see you." she commented. It really was refreshing.

"I've been as fine as the last time we met. There is not need to be down all the time. It drags the mood down and just worries everyone around you."
There were times when he has felt miserable but he wasn't going to put anything upon Rinali. She had a lot going on for her at the moment.

Walking a few steps along the rooftop, she stopped and took a seat down, releasing his hand gently. "I wish I had your optimism."

"I wish I had your optimism." she heard him say.
This only made him remember the times when he wasn't always this way; the times when he was callous and reserved, not wanting to have any connection and attachment with anyone. But times and changed and he started to open up. Actually, it was around the same time Rinali had started to break the barrier.
"Even the most pessimistic have their moments of optimism. It is rarely too late."

Smiling gently at that mental reminder she folded her hands neatly on her lap, crossing her ankles where the faint clattering of her anklet rings rang out. "It's peaceful up here."
Reply
"It's as peaceful as it is going to get." he laughed, considering the construction taking place near by. It has quieted down at least.

Turning her attention back to the stars in the sky, she relaxed a little more, the company offering more than enough comfort.
