[grumbling as he shoves the dead Tribbles that infested the apartment into a sack]

Stupid fucking fuzzy assholes.

Achoo!

[sniffles and feels around for another to shove in the bag. They aren't hard to find at least, which is good since he's shivering a good bit]

[ooc:front door is open, so feel free to help. Or point and laugh, either way]

[He's still getting the hang of the layout of the apartments, and he can't help but notice the bag of dead tribbles]

What the hell?

[He says it in Russian, but his tone of voice is pretty clear. He thinks this place is weird]

[Freezes for a second when he hears the Russian, sorry Nikolai, he's just a little jumpy about the soldiers]

[It takes him a second, but he seems to relax and stands up with the help of his stick, looking in the direction of the voice with whitened eyes]

They infested the place and then died. I'm just trying to get the place cleaned out before they stink.

You cannot see?

[He sounds a little taken aback by this, mostly because from what he saw, Jason was dealing with those tribbles pretty well]

Do you need help?

Nope, sorry.

[There was a lot of them, that's why. He knows he's not going to get all of them and he smiles a bit]

If you don't mind, I can't find all of them.

[sneezes again, several in a row before he pauses to wipe his nose]

I will help.

[He bends down and picks up a few]

What are these animals?

Thank you.

[goes back to shoving the things in his sack so he can dump them somewhere later. He shrugs]

Not sure, I think someone called 'em Trabbles, or maybe it was Tribbles. I just know they're furry little thieves.

[frowns and chucks one out into the hall in his annoyance]

Trabbles, tribbles, this is not something I know.

[He pushes a few more back out into the hall]

I am new here. You can tell me a little about this place?

Might as well just call them Troubles and be done with it.

[gets back to sticking them in the sack, doot do doo]

Sure, since you're helping me I can do that. What did you want to know?

[He shrugs and offers that slightly creepy smile]

Where to go to have a drink? How to make money?

[Good thing he can't see it, but he can sort of feel it anyway and Nikolai gets a raised eyebrow in return]

There's some bars, some seedier than others of course. The Wall has drinks, and they're not bad, so I guess it depends on how much you want to pay.

As far as jobs... there's a job board with most of what's available. Most of them are for government jobs though. Anything else and you have to just... go in somewhere and ask if they're hiring.

I am not the kind of guy that works for government. Back home I am driver. I do not think there are any cars to drive here.

[This is accompanied with a chuckle, and he pushes a pile of tribbles into the hall]

The Wall is the brothel, yes?

Nope, haven't heard a single car since I got here. Well, there's some trucks, but they belong to the military and they don't seem to get used much.

[nods as he fills up his sack, dragging it out into the hall]

That's right, after all you've got to keep your priorities straight, even after the apocalypse. Booze and sex. [chuckles]

The military runs things around here, yes?

[He pushes some more tribbles out into the hall]

From what I can tell they do. At least, everyone in charge seems to be military. Either that or from the Temple, but they don't leave there too often.

Ah...

Ahh...

[Excuse him while he has a sneezing fit. Once he's done he sniffles and wipes his nose]

Bless you

[He says it in Russian, but then he catches himself, and switches back to English]

This military, are they dangerous?

Thanks.

[thinks about it for a second]

I can't see most of the Gate Walkers letting themselves get pushed around if they weren't. I don't know from personal experience, I never tried fighting them. [frowns] But they sure like to throw their weight around.
