Ah, not precisely. I was here previously, and... sent home, it would seem. /frowns a little/ I have been assigned new quarters, however. I hope not much else has changed for the worse, since my absence.

That does happen occasionally, here. I had been here long enough previously to witness it on multiple occasions. It is always so seemingly random, even the results upon their return. At times they recall nothing of ever having been here in the first place.

/casually wiping some invisible dust from his sleeves with a slight shrug/ May I ask who it was that has been affected this time?

This kid Al. Works at the clinic--at least, he did, before he disappeared and came back.

/..... aaaaaaaaand cue Marron going remarkably still for a moment. He slowly turns to meet Don's eyes, and how his voice has grown notably thinner/

What do you mean, "did?" What has happened to him?

[He shrugs a little, but then tries to remember what Al had said the last time they'd talked]

I think he was going to try and work there again, but he didn't remember anything.

/Panic -> enter stage left. He can't even process this right now, but he swallows thickly and gives a small nod/

I.... assisted Alphonse in the clinic, previously. I am well trained, and should be able to instruct others to assist as well.

Are you alright? Were you and Al close friends?

/he swallows again, and gives a short nod. He's speaking more quietly now/ I assume it is not simply how to run the clinic that Al has forgotten.

Maybe he'll remember something.

/He's been here too long to really believe that, and he shakes his head slightly/

The clinic was Al's great source of pride, here. His constant. If he has forgotten it completely then it is doubtful he will remember much else.

I can't say I understand how this works, yet. How is it that he remembers nothing and you remember everything?

It is.. random, as I said. Sometimes people here are sent home. When you return, it is just as you left it. Sometimes a great deal of time passes for you, sometimes none at all. I have even seen people return here whom have been from further backwards in time than they were before.

Regardless, they return here. Sometimes they recall having been here before, sometimes they do not. There does not seem to be a discernible pattern.

Great. So if I go home, I'm going to come back to this place?

Perhaps not. Many have left and not yet returned.
