Early morning, December 12, 1952
*For once, there's no snow and a sliver of light seems to shine through. All that's needed is a sliver of light, because the snow is effectively blinding everyone with it's pristine white. And said snow has completely covered the first floors of buildings, drifting up to the second and third floors depending on the wind.
Some time over night, the electric came back on when the snow abated, kicking on heaters, sometimes with gunshot like announcements. But heat was still welcomed, was it not?*
This is Major General Melnikov. Now that the snow has stopped, there are a few announcements. School and all non-emergency jobs are closed. Volunteers are required for snow removal and to create paths for emergency routes. Any able bodied person is required to assist in snow removal. The most immediate thing required is that the cafeteria and hospital should be dug out. Incidently, it is also movie night, should others manage to leave their buildings.
