*sitting at the front desk of the library, reading as usual with his feet propped up on the table and leaning waaay back in his chair, balancing on the two hind legs; if he's in danger of falling over, he doesn't notice, too absorbed in his current reading. there are a few language books in a stack near him, which he'll be getting to eventually*

*doesn't answer at first, the familiar voice only barely registering. it's the repeat that gets him to look up from his book, blinking* ...Alfons?

*eyes widen a little bit. he's gotten better since before! then nods, smiling slightly*

*glances around to see if anybody else is coming in or anybody's watching him... then drops his feet from the desk, gets up, and moves around to join Alfons on the other side. takes a second to think of where the language books are, then nods at Alfons again before starting to lead him* This way. Follow me.

*looks over at him with a slight quirk of the eyebrow when...* Oh shit- *makes a quick u-turn, going back to the desk to grab up the German<->English dictionary before rejoining Alfons*

Sorry. Forgot this. *raises the dictionary so Alfons can see, then resumes the walk, looking through the pages as they go* Studying lots? Better speak.
