Film Screenings at Bars: How Warhol Undoubtedly Became Famous!!!

Dec 06, 2007 12:42

So our final film show for my Recycled Images class is being held at Rififi, a place I'm totally not hip enough for. Unfortunately it's only in a week and a half so I better get my film finished... (yikes).

Since it's an open invite, I have to decide if I'm actually going to invite anyone. My film isn't exactly Projector Ready at this point so I couldn't tell you if it's any good. I'm sure some of the others will be fascinating though, judging by some of the viewings we've had in our workshops. I highly recommend my friend celluloidlout's hand-painted film, which he better be showing at the show. (That was a huge hint, Chris.) So far it's by leaps and bounds my class favorite, because it actually gives you an experience watching it.

Showing work in public is the worst feeling when you're not an artist. Thank god this screening is being held at a cinema-bar where alcohol consumption is highly encouraged. Whiskey Sour, won't you get me through this night...!

By the way, I'm trying to figure out the title of my film. So far, it's "Moon Dreams," but that sounds so pedestrian.

film, school
