As you well know, that Tower is the one keeping us here. By my orders, we are to destroy it in order to revive the land and free us all from its binding restrictions. Thus it has been for a great, long time.

[She half-smiles sardonically.]

Of course, how does one do that, if there are no powers to draw from? It's been a useless endeavor for years, until we discovered a way to strengthen those in this compound. [A pause.] A shame it couldn't be a nicer facility, though.

Why you ask us is beyond me, though, when we might be less trust-worthy as the soldiers. Unless, of course, it's just for our powers.
