Some of you are familiar with the 101 things in 1001 Days deal. If not, go here, where you'll find info, advice on creating a list, and links to about a gajillion-and-one lists as examples:
http://www.triplux.com/1001/otherlists.asp I started to do this once before, but my life changed in some dramatic and unexpected ways.
So, I made a new list of 101 Things to do in 1001 Days. [Edited: I added one under Health/Fitness, making it 102. -- Sept 5th, 07] I start today (July 19, 2007) and the end date is day before my birthday, April 15th, 2010. For every incomplete item on the end date, I am going to donate $5 per item to charity. For every completed item, I'll put aside $5 to treat myself at the end.
I divided them up by very general categories, to help keep track of them better. Since today is the start date, I need to pick one thing off of the list to do for the inaugural day, I think. Clearly going to Europe is not gonna be it...oh wait, see item #49. I am posting this list now and am thus fulfilling that item. Sweet!
[Struck-through items are complete.
Orange items are in progress.
Green items are either abandoned or incomplete and will incur the $5-per-incomplete-item-to-charity rule at end of 1001 days.]
