i do not want what i have not got

I don't know why I keep dawdling about typing up a detailed report of our vacation. It's not like I'm avoiding anything -- it was all good stuff (except maybe for the flat tire we got on the way to Houston, when we were already running late and both wearing white; but even at the time, that was kind of funny). I just can't focus lately.

I have, however, uploaded some new icons. I thought Jake needed more exposure, and my summertime icon had to end its reign as the default -- even though it's still fairly warm here, it's definitely winter. But, at least the days are all getting longer from now on! When our new digicam arrives in the mail (late Christmas present) maybe I'll be inspired to take even more pictures...of my dog. B/c I'm not very photogenic. I also want to get some good pictures of San Antonio. I mean "good" for me, so basically, just not taken out the window of a moving car.

I think I'm going to use my Borders gift card (which I still have from LAST Christmas -- spending money on myself makes me uncomfortable, usually) to order a map of the world to hang in my office! Maps rule. (I'd really like a globe, too, but maps are much cheaper.) And also a Japanese calligraphy set, if amazon.com will let me use the card towards that. Christmas seems to have hit me with a materialistic, spendy bug.

I need a haircut and a ring guard for the (slightly too big but still awesome) silver ring I got in Mexico. I also need to feed all the starving people and puppies in the world.

I'm not always sure where to draw the line, there.

journal, fluff, materialism, photos
