An order of Pro-life, hold the hypocrisy please.

I'll give this to the American Pro-Life movement: just like any other solid and upstanding institution of modern American culture, they have become so riddled with hypocrisy that one wonders how they can possibly continue to hold credibility in the public eye. But like most other societal institutions, they have worked so hard to mangle reason ( Read more... )

Pretty long post for mere speculation on one's identity, and if I had as much of the ego as you seem to credit me with, I might be downright flattered. Honestly though, why play games about who I am, since I'm not going to confirm or deny any speculation? Rest assured, I'm not getting some kind of juvenile thrill out of keeping people guessing, and if I was, you can be sure I'd be a little more methodical and careful about what I was letting slip through the cracks.

I have a good reason for anonymity, but to be honest, you maybe brought one up that I hadn't thought of, the "he is at it again" idea. I can see a very vague way this could relate to me, but without saying too much, being outspoken was never my forte. No, I stay anonymous because I think it's easier to stimulate an active and intellectual discussion that way. Whenever you aren't picturing someone definite that you know speaking or writing something, you can't help but concentrate on their ideas first and foremost. I just want people to think and talk about certain things, I think that stimulus coming from an at least somewhat anonymous source is the most conducive to open discussion. Is that a slight against all of you, for saying you're incapable of intelligent discussion among yourselves? Absolutely not, its just a realistic assessment of the way people think, myself included.

If you don't like my particular style of writing, I can't say much to that. I definitely don't like people who can't use capital letters or correct punctuation, and I'm this way on everything from research papers to AIM (does that help your guess any?). I also don't like using constant "base" words over and over, and if you think I'm using lofty diction to make people think I'm "a super-genius" then God only knows who you think I am. Definitely not my style.

Oh and perhaps I talk from a pedestal, but the "moral highground?" Honestly, I thought that the only people who used pompous terms like that were the one's that people like me are trying to save the world from.
