Yay vacation!
Well, as of 5:15 yesterday, I'm officially on a 10-day vacation! WOOT me! Gonna go see khamosh down in Hot-lanta for a week and hit Dragon*Con whilst there. Also gonna hit Fry's like a big-dog (gonna find me a dual-603 m/b) and see what else is shakin' in the big town of Atlanta.
Started my vacation off right with doing a few needed bits around the house. Namely sanding/priming the leak damage in the kitchen that I've had drywalled for months and months, installing a flip-down set of hinges with trays under the kitchen sink to store all the scrubbies and such, and doing some VERY much needed cleaning. Also paid a few last bills (ouch) before taking it easy tomorrow. Oh yeah, also touched up the paint on my truck. I found out what the actual color of the sucker is some time back, and I finally remembered to pick up a can of Dupli-Color paint (With work, I can make it look as good as a real paintjob) and reshot my hood and tailgate. Well, the hood still looks like hell, but not primer-gray hell which it was doing a lot of lately (oxidation sucks). It's not a fix, but it's a bandaid to keep things looking not-so-horrid now. Truth be told, I just need to grind off the hood, reprimer it, and have someone color-match some paint, but $5 was a lot cheaper than $200.
I'd planned on going and playing some poker and stuff today, but I just got too much into the housework. Went over to El Molino's for a few Margarita's and some tacos, not to mention flirting with a really fun waitress there. (She's so funny.. she made me speak Spanish tonight anytime I wanted anything. ?Quieras tu una cita? ?Chulpas me pinga por una dollares?) Yeah, it was rather funny. Silly gringo :)
Anyhow, I'm all full of Tequila now, so it's time to watch TV and maybe toss a few books back into the bookshelves. Tomorrow will be getting the rest of this place cleaned up. It's always best to come home after a vacation to a nice, clean place. Well, that's what I say, anyway. C'ya later!
