Monsoon del Rosario*! D:

Aug 07, 2012 21:50

We do not have a typhoon but because of Tropical Storm Haikui, it pulled the monsoon rains towards our area and now the whole metro and nearby provinces are practically flooded! DX

This phenomenon is being compared to what happened to us way back in 2009 during the Tropical Storm Ondoy (Int'l.Name: Ketsana?) wherein Metro Manila and nearby experienced unprecedented rains and flooding in areas that has never experienced it, ever. D:

My sibs and I are okay. We are looking out for the overflowing creek near our area hoping it will not reach us. This morning due to the almost non-stop heavy rains the water is only about a meter close before it could reach us! Thankfully it receded during the day despite the on and off rains we were having the whole day. Unfortunately, the rains are still here even if there are breaks in between we may still not be able to sleep well in fear that the waters may reach us. To think that our place is practically the highest on our area! D:

My auntie's house in Las Pinas had been flooded last night but it has receded during the day. Their house is a bungalow type so it is really harder for them but they were able to clean up today. They too are still on the lookout as the creek is nearer their place and I am still waiting for their reply as to their status tonight. *is worried*

This is all for now. I can't think much but we are currently safe, okay, have electricity, food and internet as we all monitor the situation around us.

The weather will be like until Thursday according to PAG-ASA (Phil.Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration). D: D: D: D: D: D: D:

Stay safe, be careful, watchful and ready for anything.

'later!
