the reason why i discourage people from sending small parcels to my country
an lj-friend reminded me once again from a link in his 4 May 2009 post why i discourage people from sending me parcels even with good intentions of surprising me/sharing something with me a part of what they like. *sheepish grin*
here is the specific article that has bothered me more than it should and why i will rely more to my sis to send me the books i want/looking for via the big LBC Balikbayan boxes they periodically sent here. (I'll be sendIng her monies to have it filled with various other items than books for that matter. > . >
better yet, ask my wonderful balikbayan relatives and FAMILY friends to buy the books for me and bring it over here with them (in their luggages) when they get back visiting us. -.-"
the books would have to be "tame" to say the least. the "hot goods" will have to be put off for another time. XD
