So our landlady is losing the house. If she doesn't get it sold within the next two weeks, the bank's taking it back.
She's been calling FEMA, claiming that we're living here at great financial strain to her poor, charitable self and trying to get "reimbursed for the reduction in income our 'low rent' caused."
A: we're paying $150 more a month than her previous tenants were charged.
B: We were NOT is a desperate situation when we moved into this tiny little shit hole. There were LARGER APARTMENTS we could have (I wanted to) taken for the same price, but Joe wanted to move in here because he went to school with Kerry and she really wanted to "help us."
C: she hadn't made a single mortgage payment for a YEAR when we moved in. Had we known this, we would have moved into the three bedroom on Arbutus that I wanted.
Anyway, I'm getting fucking sick and tired of hearing her tell everyone and anyone that she was doing us this big favor by renting this place to us for more than she was getting from her previous tenants. And really REALLY pissed off by the implication that her financial problems are a result of her "charity."
Oh and I'm sick and tired of being thrown out for two hours every time she has a showing.
At least now she's not asking twice what she bought the place for three years ago, having done nothing to fix it up, besides a couple coats of paint. So our landlady is losing the house. If she doesn't get it sold within the next two weeks, the bank's taking it back.
