"Reach Higher, Work Harder"
Dear 2006 Competition Team:
Well, here we are - our first competition of the season. We've worked extremely hard to get here today - and now it's time. Time to perform this routine - time to put it all on the mat - time to shine. It has not been an easy road so far - but that's what will drive us today. Can we overcome all the trials and adversity? Honestly, we have no choice. It's time to pull it all together and hit the mat running.
This year we have a young team. This year we have an inexperienced team. This year we have to work for every little success. To all of these things I say - "SO WHAT!" We've done the work, we've put in the hours, and we are prepared. All of you know deep down in your hears that we can do this. And now is the time.
Before you take the mat today - look around you. Look around you at your teammates, your friends, your sisters - and pledge to them that you will give 110% today - for them. Promise that you will have each others back - knowing that you can only be successful with each and everyone of them by your side. Stay true to the sisterhood we call team.
And commit yourselves to excellence today, girls - it's the only way.
