heyya heyya
I didn't post my usual lunch time post yesterday, because magically we had a great schedule yesterday; Directing from 2:15 until 6 (and he let us out early). So I didn't have a "lunch break" so to speak. Plus before class I had to finish my homework (per usual).
Today I have big plans of doing all my homework so that i don't repeat this week. It's really draining to have to do your homework the day it's due. Really. it is. So. Today.
However, all I've done so far is sit around moping and having a little pity party. Meh.
On the homework side of things I have to: write another 4.5 page script for writing, write 150 word bs for genres (blog post), design and draw a prop for production design, write a 4-6 sentence 'pitch' for producing (that doesn't include the phrase 'you can shove this class up your ass', because Chris said I'd fail the class), finish my expansion and compression edits for editing, write a paragraph on each about why I made the cuts I did, and finally a weekend project for directing (aka a video). The weekend project I'm going to do tomorrow with Eric and Chris, but I need to figure out what I'm going to do with it. I want it to be good because I like Victor and his class and want to impress him. *shrug* Oh, we also have to do a weird previsualization project for Rex that involves taking a picture and changing it in photoshop... but it didn't make any sense because... well... we work with "motion" pictures which you don't edit in photoshop. I'm confused as to the point of the assignment.
I have all male professors this semester- Editing- Sandro (hawt), Writing- Tim (I like him better this semester than I did last), Directing- Victor (new prof, pretty cool), Cine- Rex (pretty cool, but old and weird), Design- Jed (we have a love hate relationship), Sound- Chuck (old hippy with really cool stories who can't teach worth a damn), Genres- Andrew (seems like a cool guy but is an awful prof and hates MFA), Producing- Paul (NO. LIKE. LISA SMASH).
*shrug*
We have one less class this semester, I guess. I feel like we're missing another one but I can't think of what. We have more Cine and more Directing, and less design and sound (thank god). I think writing evens out to the same amount of time only it's all on one day now.
Hooray babbling about classes! Most importantly, two more weeks and we'll be done with them for a month. Woo.
I want to see a movie today, to make that my reward if I get all my shit done. But as it is Valentine's Day, that seems like a bad call. Maybe I'll rent a few, order a pizza, and not think.
