Some blog posts and websites I have appreciated this week:
JA Konrath's
The top ten reasons books are better than sex. Number 5 was his best selling-point, in my opinion.
Lynn Price's
Interview with a character. In fact, I grabbed those questions so that I can promptly interview the heroine of Dark Paranormal WIP. I definitely know what she wants to achieve, but I'm still kind of wobbly on what personal flaw will try to prevent her from doing so. Can't have that.
Editorial Ass's
Why you should never submit unagented to publishing companies. *sigh* *trying to talk myself out of stringing up a noose over the lack of options in this business* It's okay; only did it once, won't do it again. [*Edited to add: For other viewpoints on unagented submissions, be sure to check the comments attached to my post.]
And, to throw some sheer amazement into the mix: Cyber-pal Agnes de Bethune's
newest artwork this year. I will never understand how the woman can paint pictures that look like photographs. There has got to be a short story behind every one of them.
