They will band together and rise up against us, one of these days.

Surely you know this. It WILL happen. But until then... those turkeys be good eatin'. Enjoy 'em, me hardies! Heh-heh.

It's a tradition for us to stay up late cooking like lunatics the night before Thanksgiving, then sleeping late and enjoying the televised parades in bed. Mom finished a few hours ago; I'm just now finishing up my signature chicken Brunswick stew (Savannah style) and my 'tater salad for tomorrow's massive chow-down over at the parents'. So I'm feeling mighty full of myself, as you can imagine. To everyone who celebrates the holiday, and to everyone who doesn't, hug your loved ones tightly and have a heart-filled day. This will be the very first year that a chair is empty at the diningroom table, for my immediate family. It already feels unsettling to me that Baby Bro won't be there, will never be there again. But... we'll see how it goes, yeah?
_______________

I've had a nice long writing jag since I posted last. The equation went thusly: Finding a HUGE plot hole in Dark Paranormal WIP (one that, once it was fixed, collapsed half a dozen other plot points and motivations like a stack of dominos) + an internet connection that decides to go out completely and deprive one of senseless hours of Web-surfing entertainment = Two Weeks of Very Productive Writing with No Distractions. The proof is below.

I had a nicely congealed fruit salad. One chunky ingredient taken away, and WHAM! I had soup. Now I have JELLO again, all shiny and new, so hit my theme music, please. Til the morrow, my friends!
