What's on my desk.

Let's see...

Two chapters of critiquemate Jeff's new YA novel for butchering review, and two samples from critiquemate Jennie's murder mystery (she needs to know our opinions on which Point of View feels better for the story, First or Third person), for this evening's fiction focus meeting.

A hefty pile of old critiques from the mates on the previous incarnation of dark paranormal novella WIP. It won't hurt to skim them one more time, just in case, before I trash them.

My 2009-2010 planner/calendar, one page of which served quite well as a scribble list for things Mama needed from the store the other day... but then, as I ran those errands, Right Brain convulsed in the parking lot of the CVS, and that same page became a catch-all for character motivation, plot points, a wee bit of dialogue, and possible novel titles. As you can see. (At least I didn't have to write on napkins or on myself yet again.)

_______________

In other news: My maternal great-aunt Molly, the first born of all her siblings and the last one of them to die, passed away yesterday. We will all miss her. But we have few tears. There is only celebration and amazement...

Because she was 103.

Just imagine going from Kitty Hawk all the way to the space shuttle Endeavour, in REAL time. Blows my mind.
