Truly countless bodies.

A nice romp through my older files today produced this little beauty: a personal seal I generated while my pen was mired deep in the battles of Fantasy Novel #1. This Latin phrase was used by the Romans to describe the aftermath of the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains. I used it to describe the evil scourge of my alternate Earth finally getting their bloody comeuppance.

In a completely different and less violent example of "truly countless bodies"... I give you this stare-worthy number snarfed from Karen Syed of The Life of a Publisher. Am I going to ask the obvious question that comes to mind? No. No comment.

And finally, a quote that has nothing to do with bodies at all, but is invaluable as we hack and machete our way through the deepest, darkest jungles of fiction writing:

"Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best." -- Henry Van Dyke
