II - The Legion

I suppose someone from the Legion must have heard about my asking after them - I was approached with an offer to join this morning. I suppose they do have to stay informed.

I've managed to find an apartment in Psilos, but I really do need a day-to-day job... I'm not royalty here, I can't expect to have it all handed to me. I suppose I'll ask

Occasionally in my world I was called upon to help fight off beasts that occasionally plagued others.

What did you fight them with?

Usually simply weapons - they were often resistant to one form of magick or another, and finding a specific weakness would often have involved trial and error we simply didn't have the luxury of time for.

So, why did you fight them? You didn't do it alone, did you?

For money, mostly. And also because Vaan discovered that people remembered the ones who'd vanquished monsters that were plaguing them, and couldn't resist a shot at glory.

Of course not. That would have been suicide. There were six of us...

Oh, no, they're all back in Ivalice. One lives in Arcadia now; the others are all sky pirates.
