Well I ended up getting both papers 3/4 done, and finishing preparation for my ""oral introduction"" for English pedagogy class Monday, so I guess it's okay.
And then the office emailed me to say that I don't get to go to NHK's show Hakunetsu kyoushitsu when they film at Tohoku U, because too many students applied blah blah blah. I was really looking forward to it, too :/ And also, it bothers me that the office staff addresses me by first name. I am fairly sure that they address Japanese students by last name :( omg can't call the white girl by a Japanese name?
