[Good day to you, residents of Luceti. There is a platypus standing in your village. He's going to be switching locations every so often, so don't worry about where in the village he is. It could range from the plaza to the furthest outskirts, really. The point is, he is there. He will stand, unmoving, staring blankly into space

[Japan is out and about, taking a walk with his dog Pochi. He doesn't seem to notice the platypus with wings right away, but his dog certainly does. Pochi yips and starts towards Perry, wagging his tiny furry tail.]

[Ahah! A fellow animal! Perhaps the dog will be able to explain to Perry what's going on. First up, he'll give one of his trademark chatters in greeting.]

[4000excuses]

[Pochi stops dead and yips. Then sits, staring at the weird....thing that just chattered at him. At this point, Japan notices.]

...? Pochi-kun, what are you doing?

[Perry's just going to act as casual as possible in front of Japan. He can't really interrogate the dog with a human around. Not while's he's trying to keep up his cover, anyway.]

[4000excuses]

[He walks up and notices....tiny blue animal thing with wings.]

....?

Pochi-kun.

[The dog yips again and gets up, wagging his tail and barking at Perry. Japan turns his attention to Perry for a moment, but it's just a blue animal thing. He pats his leg to try and get Pochi to come back, but the dog just keeps barking at Perry, then it sits and whines a little bit. Sighing, Japan turns and starts off again.]

[This 'conversation' is proving a little more difficult than Perry had expected. He can't really understand just what the dog is saying. Perhaps they're in some sort of foreign country after all. He'll try another chatter, this one with a hint of confusion.

If only Perry realized that Luceti gives him the ability to speak with human tongue. Well, he wouldn't really use that ability in front of humans, but at least he could get his point across to other animals.]

[The dog gets up and walks over to where Perry is, stopping again when he chatters. And he starts barking again, also confused. Wtf is this thiiiing.

Japan stops a little ways away and turns back, staring at the two of them.]

[There's a clear case of miscommunication here. Perry can't understand the dog and apparently, the dog can't understand him either. He gives an exasparated chatter, before slowly making his way towards Japan himself. Humans have a tendency to talk to cute animals without realizing the animals can actually understand them. Perhaps he'll get some information like this.]

[Pochi yips and follows after. Japan, for his part, kneels down, balancing on the balls of his feet and tucking his kimono hem up a bit so it doesn't drag on the ground.]

....Are you lost?

[Perry just gazes up at Japan in response, trying to look as much like an innocent, thick animal as he can. He's had years of training in this, he's very good at it.]

[Pochi comes around and sits by Japan. And Japan just stares at Perry.

....This animal is so weeeeeird.]

....Do you have a master?

[Stare. Is this guy actually expecting him to respond?]

[4000excuses]

[................creeeeeepyyyy.]

I...suppose not.

[But he has wings. Unlike Pochi who is a pet. Is it possible he is a new arrival?]

...are you new to Luceti?

[Luceti? He has no clue what that is, so apparently he is new. Now he just needs to try and get the guy to elaborate on it, without letting on too much of his intelligence. He blinks slowly, before sitting up on his hind legs.]

Aah! [Surprised Japan is surprised. These things can sit? Pochi yips and wags his tail, nonplussed by this turn of events seeing as he's a dog and he figures all animals can do that.]

...why am I talking to a blue...animal. [sigh] You're not native to this place though, or I suppose you wouldn't have wings...

[He looks around, but can't see anyone looking for a blue animal thing.]

...maybe if I ask on the journals someone will come pick you up...

[All foreign animals- and perhaps even humans- here have wings? Is that what Japan is implying? That's... strange. And what's this about a journal, now?]
