a clean apartment is very nice!

Hooray...the apartment is clean. We had a nice time this weekend with Chris's mom and Barbara. I knew that we would though. We cooked dinner for them and they were so excited because no one ever cooks for them. They thought my food was good. yay! We made chicken on the grill with honey mustard bbq sauce, green beans, and roasted potato salad. Everything turned out really good. They brought us the most delicious cake for dessert. It was a white cake and it had lemon curd in between the layers and it had a lemony cream cheese frosting. On Sunday morning they took us to breakfast at Pamela's and then we walked around Squirrel Hill a little bit. Almost none of the stores were open because it was sunday, which I thought was a little strange since it was squirrel hill. So we went over to Barnes and Noble and spent some time walking around in there. His mom bought us books too! It was great. I got the Andy Rooney book...i think it's going to be hilarious. Little old men tend to make me crack up. So all in all it was good stuff...we got good cake, free breakfast, new books, and now we have a clean apartment!

The weekend really made me feel like a grown up. It felt pretty good. I think it made me feel like a grown up because I was like hey...look at this...i keep my own house here and it was weird because I have never had a boyfriends parents visit me like in my home...not my parents home. It made me feel really mature and responsible or something. If that makes any sense...

This weekend we are going up to the finger lakes for the 4th of July. We will be visiting with Chris's dad. It should also be good times. It's like the CJ Family extravaganza! lol
