This afternoon I was walking home from the grocery store. The route home involved me cutting through the Kentucky Fried Chicken parking lot. As I walked past the dumpsters in the back the inner monologue that I had going on had something to do with it seeming almost common place at this point to see rats run across the sidewalk in front of me. I think this stemmed from the fact that there are often rats running around the dumpster at KFC and that Sergio and I had just seen one yesterday on our way home from blockbuster. But what struck me while I was thinking about the rats is that I never see some random ass cockroach chillin on the sidewalk. I never see any cockroaches hanging out in the subway stations like I see rats. And I guess that I decided this afternoon that maybe that was something that cockroaches just didn't do. But that assumption was changed for me just now as I was walking home from the subway station and I saw a cockroach scuttling down the sidewalk...I ask you...WHAT THE FUCK?
