So Zach turned two today! Exciting stuff!! We had a McDonald's playplace birthday party for him yesterday for all the friends and extended family, and today a more intimate gathering at my mom's with cake and presents. He is so damn cute I can hardly stand it!! So we were feeling very blessed this weekend, with a healthy toddler. It still strikes me, quite frequently in light of his birthday, about how hard it was to conceive him, to keep him in the womb, and to be his cheerleader when he was in the hospital and struggling to grow and learn to eat. Now I watch him fly around the house at break neck speeds, screaming and giggling, calling me "sawa" instead of Mommy to make me agitated... it all just seems surreal sometimes. I'm so happy he's here and growing up so well.
Speaking of growing up, Gab is doing SO WELL with her Speech and Debate team. She was the only freshman to make District Congress. (at least I think that's what she called it) I just know she was the only freshman to achieve this HUGE goal, and it's awesome. I still don't get much of what she's saying, but I think she has finally found her passion, and I'm so happy for that. Everyone should have that one thing they live for, they succeed at, that makes them feel whole. She's amazing, beautiful and intelligent. Have I said that in one of these letters before?? ;)
Joe has been so helpful, keeping up with stuff around the house and pitching in with things he's never really concerned himself with before. And why would he, I was always home! I am thankful everyday that I have him as my partner and that we are always learning and growing together. Does any marriage survive without that?
Speaking of learning, not only did I start a new job, but my classes resumed this month as well. No wonder Joe has to help out so much, right? I'm a little over a year away from my Bachelor's Degree if I stay on track full-time. I won't be disappointed if I need to take time off again, but the whole goal was to have my degree before Gab went to college. I've got about three years to make this happen. I can't be paying for all of us on Student Loans at the same time!
And now that I've done the super-fast easy update on our lives, I really need to get back to my Business Ethics paper. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing! Haha!
Much Love,
Sarah
