Thing #67 that annoys me about "banned book" lists:
Go Ask Alice by Anonymous
The list author says: "Pulled from the 8th grade curriculum in Berkeley County, SC."
Come on. That book is garbage (entertaining garbage that tells us something about a particular time and that spawned a genre, but garbage), and there's no way it should be taught in any middle school curriculum, unless it's being taught as an example of how people use fake memoirs to further their own agendas and make money.
If it was being used in my own kid's school, you bet I would want it pulled from instruction.
