Come in!

If you are a dreamer, come in.
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire,
For we have some flax golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

Hi, this is my Livejournal, and in the following post is a list of all the books I own, and ones I'm planning to buy. If ( Read more... )

Tamora Pierce, Mercedes Lackey, and Terry Pratchett should all be at the top of the consideration list. I just forgot ó_ò .
Actually, some of them should be on the to buy list.

Tamora Pierce - I do care about reading series in order, which is part of the reason I haven't looked into the author. I've been too lazy 'till now to sort out the multiple series all being in the same place, I've not been sure where to start.
Maybe I'll be able to find box sets or something. I like box sets.

Mercedes Lackey - Same as Tamora Pierce, only I've now made sense of Tamora Pierce. I suppose I'll just try to start at the beginning and go through.
I really like box sets.

Terry Pratchett - I've always been meaning to get, again, I just need to start somewhere. I'll have to make a list of all these series when I get to go book shopping again (< 2 weeks, big store in Regina :D ).

Tamora Pierce, Mercedes Lackey, and Terry Pratchett moved onto the contemplation list, though I'll likely get something (box set) from one of them whenever that wedding is.

I'm moving Seán Cullen onto the to buy list after reading a few reviews and excerpts. I've been a bit of a fan of him as a comedian, and the books look quite funny.

Tortall Books-
Song of the Lioness quartet (Alanna: The First Adventure, In the Hand of the Goddess, Woman Who Rides Like a Man, Lioness Rampant)
Immortals quartet (Wild Magic, Wolf Speaker, Emperor Mage, The Realms of the Gods)
Protector of the Small quartet (First Test, Page, Squire, Lady Knight)
Trickster books (Trickster's Choice, Trickster's Queen)
Terrier is the first book in a new Trilogy (Provost's Dog, I think it's called?), but it's the only one out so far and hasn't come out in paperback yet(October, I think?)

Circle Books-
Circle of Magic quartet (Sandry's Book, Tris's Book, Daja's Book, Briar's Book)
Circle Opens quartet (Magic Steps, Street Magic, Cold Fire, Shatterglass)
The Will of the Empress

:)

Mercedes Lackey- still not too sure on them all myself :P Heralds of Valdemar (Arrows of the Queen, Arrow's Flight, Arrow's Fall) are definitely first, and I read The Last Herald-Mage (Magic's Pawn, Magic's Promise, Magic's Price) next, although looking at publication dates it looks like Vows and Honor (The Oathbound, Oathbreakers, Oathblood) are actually between them.

Let the record state that Oathbound and Oathbreakers is technically a duology, while Oathblood is an anthology. ;)

Also, Exile's Honor and Exile's Valor is another duology.

Brightly Burning is by itself... so is Take a Thief.
There's also the Mage Winds trilogy (?, Winds of Change, Winds of Fury) and the Black Gryphon trilogy (Black Gryphon, White Gryphon, Silver Gryphon).
