Disgustingly Content
Chris and I have started the post-relationship-trauma healing process.
Last night was amazingly wonderful!
Chris got home from his meeting around 11.
Maddie had convinced me to let her stay up until he got home.
While I ate dinner--Chris had brought me Taco Bell--those two monkeyed around, playing Rock-Paper-Scissors and Thumb War.
She was no match for him at Thumb War, but she won about 80% of the time at R-P-S. *L*
It was nice to see them bonding.
Chris's work schedule makes it very hard for them to spend time together.
After Maddie was put to bed, Chris made it his business to give me all the pampering I could handle.
He even broke out the expensive massage oil and worked on my back!
Then, we just snuggled in the candle light.
Neither one of us remembers when we fell asleep.
Somehow, the candles all got blown out.
We were still a mass of entwined arms and legs when we woke up.
It was a wonderfully intimate way to sleep, but my back is paying for it now.
Ah, well.
I guess it just means I'll have to have another massage tonight. :-}
