So I know its a little blurry & hard to read, but this is the local obituary posted. It mentions aunt Elaine, Betty's brothers & sisters, and her nieces & nephews of which i am one. I wanted to elaborate, because she deserves it.
Betty was a spitfire and a fighter. She had blue grey eyes and broad shoulders. She was tall, strong, and graceful. She was hilarious. Betty was a cowboy. She drank bottled beer. She wore boots, and hat...and holstered a pistol. She was protective. She always looked me in the eye. Betty made a difference, at least in my family. Betty was tough. She had formidable men under her thumb. Betty was a lover. She was married to Elaine. Their relationship lasted longer than any other i have known. Betty was real. She walked on a road of broken glass for so long, that it became sand for me. She was buried in a beautiful pinstripe suit. I will forever remember Betty.
