been keepin busy?
Starting to move around a bit more these days. I was able to get in good graces with a great dj in town, and he's agreed to let me tag around with him; sortof an apprentice. I'm incredibly excited about it. If i could pay some bills by doing that, i could ween off the cafe, and be a lot more committed to the band.
Not that i haven't been committed to the band, I just finished some informal music business classes that were incredibly motivating and educational. So I've been working at it pretty much every day, and it's coming together. Feeling good about that, too.
NOLA PEEPS: trying to plan a visit in a couple of months, would really like to get The Guise a show while we're they're, let me me know if you can help!
On a side note, i got to meet my l'amour du jour, Amy SedariS!!! She came through on a booktour, was beautiful and hilarious, and I gave her a lil custom single of the song I wrote about her (Amy,Amy). I HIGHLY recommend her new book for anyone who wants to laugh from the gut, get some good recipes, or some great hospitality advice. It's wonderful!
