Accident Report

Mar 11, 2006 20:01

I was with Hoskins until the end. Time stood still as I watched him fall from the bat rack to the concrete floor of the Home dugout at Volunteer. Even still, I couldn't do anything about it. While time was frozen, it was still over before it started. When I got to him, he was beyond help.

I know in his brief time I treated him well. I respected him as an individual, and he in turn was well respected by others. And many time he helped me get through the tough times. Like Carlin before him, Hoskins will always have a special place reserved.

R.I.P. Hoskins (Sept 04 - Mar 06)
