I'm alive!
Some people have been a bit concerned as to where I've been and if I was okay and I can assure everyone that I'm doing well.
I'm still living in the same apartment with two lovely roommates (they're a couple.) It was basically a blank canvas when Amy moved out and I've made it my own- my home.
I have done more dumpster diving than ever before and have furnished the house with other people's throw-aways. I've even learned how to refinish a table in the process! I think some people who live near me shit gold nuggets because I got a chest of draws that is amazing! I was worried I'd have a bunch of milk crate furniture but through some fierce dumpster diving and a several trips to Ikea, it looks pretty good! I'm couchless but that's alright, I rarely watch TV anyway.
That's what's happening on the house front, on the dance front things are going really well. Big Moves has started up a burlesque troupe that I'm not a part of. We're performing at the Burlesque Expo in Boston tomorrow and we even performed at the Middle East in Boston. We also have a sweet article in next week's Pheonix! It's taking off and it's all very exciting. And the costumes? Fabulous!
I'm still dancing with Filling The Stage too. This season I was asked to sing "All that Flab," a parody of "All that Jazz." That's certainly turning out to be a hot little number.
On the love front:
I'm still with Mylène (my tarty French Canadian femme princess,) and things with her are great. I'm in love and feel like a prepubescent boy when I'm around her- giddy, silly, and so happy. We celebrated Christmas together and since then we've had several long visits together both in Montreal and here. She left a few days ago but we celebrated our first Valentine's Day together. She made me the most delicious white chocolate/pistachio oatmeal cookies among other things.
Here's one of our favorite pictures we took over the holidays:
There's a lot to write about to get everyone caught up but bottomline- life is good right now.
I hope everyone is doing well too!
